It was another of those Ashden Award evenings in London. If you ever want what Garry calls a ‘mojo boost’ then this is the place. “If you have flagging enthusiasm, and think I don’t stand a chance because of the melting ice caps, pen pushers are killing our sustainability work.” Then see what the winners of the Ashden Award winners are doing. One of this years winners were TGVhydro of Crickhowell. I have mentioned them again and again in the blog. Doers of stuff and all round good eggs!
- “Problem with getting a value for money, durable hydro turbine? Make your own!”
- “Government specialists thinks they know everything… use facts, research and logic to prove there is a different way”
- Your community needs a long-term sustainable income stream? Call on…
This sounds like the start to the “A team” and I suppose they are. They are transforming the way we develop micro and Peco hydros from heavy machine laden undertakings to small unitised systems which are very light on the landscape but make a difference to so many community and farmers on the edge. If you don’t belive me have a read

PS well done Ashden and TGVhydro! (the “can” team…. or is that Bob the builders team?)
Keep an eye out. On the 22nd of July at the Royal Welsh show we will be hosting a drop in session day with TGV hydro and others on ‘the how to’ of a hydro. Calling it “I have a stream”
